New Membership

Regular Membership

An individual may pay a lump sum fee of Rs. 12,000 (Rupees Twelve Thousand only) at the time of admission as a member towards Life Membership Fee. The members will be invited to all the CRSI meetings and will be given discount on the registration fee.

Student Membership

This is a discounted membership fee applicable to students, including Ph.D. scholars. Each student may pay Rs 6,000 (Rupees Six Thousand only) and the student members will be considered as Lifetime members. On par with the regular members, a discount on registration fee will be available to attend all the CRSI symposia even when they become post-doctoral fellow, faculty or staff members at a later stage of their career.

It is mandatory for the students to become a Life Member of CRSI to attend meetings and/or present posters. For the student members, the registration fee for the first CRSI symposium will be waived. For example, the students who make the payment of Rs 6,000.- to become Lifetime members to participate in the 32nd CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-32) and 17th CRSI – RSC Symposium Series in Chemistry to be held in Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, the registration fee for this particular symposium will be waived. However, the accommodation charges set by the local organizing committee will be applicable to these students.

The students who are currently lifetime members, but have already availed one free registration, will have to pay the registration fee of Rs. 2,000.00 (+applicable taxes) for all subsequent symposia. However, if they wish to attend the CRSI meetings after they became faculty members, scientist or staff etc., they will have to pay the registration fee applicable to the regular members.

Corporate Membership

A Corporate Member is a company or organization who makes one-time contribution of Rs. 5,00,000.00 (Rupees Five Lakhs only, for Gold Member) or Rs 2,00,000.00 (Rupees Two Lakhs only, for Silver Member) as donation to the Society. Once enrolled as a member, the company or organization will be invited to participate in the CRSI annual and mid-year meetings and will be given a special discount on the registration fee.  Every Corporate Member can nominate a maximum of five persons (Gold Members) or three persons (Silver Members) to be members of the General Body in any given year and to participate in the annual and mid-year meetings of the Society. The nominated members will be treated on par with the “Life Members” of CRSI. The organization will also receive information about various activities of CRSI and five copies (Gold Members) or three copies (Silver Members) of the annual newsletter. The names of the Corporate Members will be prominently displayed on the website of the Society and important activities of your organization related to chemistry will be published in the CRSI newsletter.​

Institutional Membership

An Institutional Member is one who makes one-time contribution of an amount of not less than Rs. 1,50,000.00 (Rupees one lakh Fifty Thousand only) as donation to the Society. Once enrolled as a member, the Institution will be invited to participate in the CRSI annual and mid-year meetings and will be given a special discount on the registration fee.  Every Institutional Member can nominate a maximum of three persons to be members of the General Body in any given year and to participate in the annual and mid-year meetings of the Society. The nominated members will be treated on par with the “Life Members” of CRSI. The Institution will also receive information about various activities of CRSI and three copies of the annual newsletter. The names of the Institutional members will be prominently displayed on the website of the Society and important activities of your Institution related to chemistry will be published in the CRSI newsletter.​

After making the payment, the members should download the Membership Application and send the completed form with a passport size photograph (for the membership card) to crsindia1999@gmail.com with a copy to jayaraman@iisc.ac.in with all the mandatory details mentioned in the form.
